About
Lynne Carter is the owner of UK based Wisteria Patchwork and has 22 years experience as a quilter, quilt shop owner and tutor. Beginning her business in the village of Codicote in Hertfordshire, before moving to Lincolnshire 16 years ago, Lynne literally set up shop again in the grounds of her home at Chestnut Farm. Like Doctor Who's TARDIS, the Wisteria Patchwork shop seems deceptively small on the outside but you walk into another world on the inside.
Whatever your skill level we will have something to tempt you. There’s more than 2000 bolts of quality cotton craft fabrics, 9 different waddings, a myriad of kits, cutting equipment, notions and haberdashery… the list goes on. Our high quality fabrics are mostly but not exclusively by Moda and the collections vary from the traditional to contemporary, children’s to Christmas and batiks to drool over! The shop at Chestnut Farm is open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4pm each day and you are welcome to visit! Address on Contact Us page but we are not a High Street shop and not so easy to find.
The shop is staffed by knowledgeable and competent quilters who are always willing to help when you visit.
This year we have opened this online shop so welcome to our 24 hours, 7 days a week ordering service! As a new venture in September '19 it will take a little time to upload our lovely fabrics and notions to the web site. Bear with us and check the website regularly for new additions. We'll maintain the blog for exciting news and updates.
Lynne says - as a quilter, I only stock in my shop what I would be confident to use in my own quilts. My customers say that you can rely on me for quality fabrics.
Go ahead, dive in and have a good rummage around to see what takes your fancy.
